Job Title: Electromechanical Technician
Reports To: Electronics Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment necessary for capacitor production equipment. Design, modify, and manufacture components, circuits, and equipment necessary for machine manufacture or repair.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· To operate and interpret the results of all electronic test equipment used in the day to day repair of production equipment.
· Electro-mechanical capacity to trouble shoot, repair, and maintain equipment.
· Work closely with the engineering department and Team Leaders.
· Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
o Ability to operate mutimeters, both analog and digital scopes, generators, and various testers.
o Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC'S) by various manufacturers.
o Ability to design, draft, and trouble shoot PLC programs.
o Ability to read and interpret detailed machine drawings and schematics.
o Knowledge of both analog and digital circuits.
o Ability to specify for purchase, both original manufactured and substitute parts.
o Ability to effectively function as a team player.
o Knowledge of good mechanical skills.

Educations and Experience:
· Education/Training: Associates degree (A.A.) from an approved 2 year college or vocational school desired, minimum or 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
· Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
· Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
