Control Systems Engineer
American Shizuki Corporation (ASC) located in Ogallala, NE is the leading manufacturer of custom electrical capacitors. As part of the Shizuki Electric Corporation's worldwide network of manufacturing and service locations, ASC is dedicated to providing advanced, high reliability film-based capacitive components and assemblies. Since 1945, ASC has provided critical dielectric functions for every major electrical and electronics advancement. We are looking for an experienced Controls Systems Engineer to join our team. Summary: The Controls System Engineer is responsible for the design, component selection, programming, installation, maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment and control systems of equipment utilized for the manufacturing of capacitors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Design and draft control systems by working with engineering and production for new and existing equipment. Design, develop, and document control panel layouts and schematics for electrical systems and write working instructions. Select, order, manufacture and install appropriate components, hardware, and software on new and existing equipment. Research, order, program and install appropriate controllers on new and existing equipment. Conduct simulation and testing of equipment prior to use in manufacturing. Implement new and existing equipment into manufacturing. Work with production on improvement programs for safety, quality, and productivity. Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment necessary for the manufacturing processes. Qualification Must have a recognized degree in engineering or a related scientific discipline from an accredited college or university. Experience of 2 to 5 years with practical work experience in design engineering, or other relevant types of engineering. Control logix and panel view experience preferred.
Production Associate
American Shizuki Corporation has immediate openings for full time day shift (5-3:30 Monday - Thursday) production associates. This position involves multiple manual and mechanical assembly functions in the construction of stacked and wound film capacitors. High school diploma or GED required. ElectroMechanical Technician
Under limited supervision, position will analyze, troubleshoot, install and repair electrical systems on industrial manufacturing equipment; repair electronic components and controls used in manufacturing; locate and diagnose complex equipment failures including mechanical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems, and perform preventative maintenance as scheduled. This position requires an associate’s degree in electronics electromechanical technology. Two plus years of electro-mechanical experience and knowledge of PLC’s and automation controls a plus.
